make sure ur timing is where it should be with a timing light, be sure to jump the little connector with the yellow cap thats on the driver side fender well when doing so. ive also had idle problems with skunk2 mani on b16's, switching to a obd1 ls/gsr throttle body always fixed it though (if using a gsr tb u must use the plate fro ur old one that the cable sits on) do a compression check and make sure u dont have a bent or sticking valve, that will lead to bad mpg and idle problems as well as possible high cylinder temps.

the connector has a yellow rubber cap over it. its a 2 wire plug, drivers side fender well, colors are green/ white strip and brown. u have to jump the wires with a paperclip or something. this will remove any timimg advance created by the ecu, so that when u use a timimng light u will be able to properly set the timing. i would try a different tb as well.

I unpluged the iacv as the engine idle was surging and it stopped but when I chucked a rev it died? Any suggestions? Change iacv I would think but will it still die out after coming to a stop?

What ECU are you running?

I would change the fuel filter and get a adjustable fuel pressure regulator and bump your fuel pressure up to 44 PSI (no vaccum to the FPR) Also check your timing.

To adjust idle;

I run a B20Z myself. I've done an obd1 conversion also...but it should be known there are 2 different obd1 LS ecu's.
There is a 92-93 PR4, and the 94-95 P75. The P75 did not work that great for my swap. I switched to the older PR4, and idle, power and drivability improved.
