Painting an engine block (have searched)
I gave this question a quick search and didn't come up with anything. So, does anyone know of any write ups or threads on repainting an engine block? Specifically Honda and painting it a fresh new gray/aluminum color. Thanks!
Just degrease the block, give it the once-over with an abrasive pad, and shoot some high temp engine paint, you can get it at your local parts store for $4-5 a can. There are usually 2 flavors of aluminum; I prefer the "cast aluminum" because it doesn't look as shiny and rediculous.

I put it through an ultrasonic wash and skipped the abrasive pad, painted it with a nice cast finish spray paint, primer first, and it came out great, thank you for the help.
