stop watching Fast N Furious so much. Its just a movie, and cars that blow up like that Eclipse, cant outrun cops afterwards.
2nd, double clutching is when you downshift, but rev match at the same time. The point of it from what I understand is to keep the RPM up and also to keep the exhaust note the same to disguise your shift(so the competition doesnt know you downshifted). There are 2 different methods to do this..heel-toe, and plain old boring double clutching. I personally like the plain old boring method because I cant turn my feet enough to gas and brake at the same time.
3rd, try a search because Im sure there is something on this board related to this.
4th, Im bored.

I agree that the search has enough info in it, but to correct you, it is not just downshifting with rev-matching. That is simply 'heel-toe'. Double clutching goes further, as it originated from cars without synchros, where rev-matching alone will not be enough to save from wear on the gear box. The process of double clutching outlined in the post above basically eliminates the use of synchros when done correctly, and thus puts less stress on the gearbox/synchros. It has nothing to do with exhaust note or making your downshift seem like it hasn't happened to others, it is to prevent wear on the tranny, and it is so that the car doesn't have a violent reaction under load as it would if you didn't rev match or double clutch.

7. Let clutch up.
Should take about 2-3 seconds to do the above when good. Also, this is usually done when part of your right foot is on the brake (Heal - toe)

NOS for a downshift? Hmmmm
Someone watched F&F a bit much, as thats the only place I've ever heard of someone feeling the need to double clutch on an upshift, especially drag racing...
