Default Need help asap!!Spindles on b16 crx

Ok, here is the deal. I had really bad wheel bearings on the 1990 b16 crx. So I went to the junk yard and picked up a real good set of 4dr spindles and knuckles. I swap those two over, but now my car won't move. I jacked up the car and try to spin the wheel, but its stiff as a rock. I am using bseries axles and it goes into the splines perfect, but once i tighten the axle nut, it wont spin. Please help me figure out the problem!!!!!

Take the axle out of the hub and use a hammer
and flat chisel to pop it out..

It is "pressed" into the back of the hub..

Ok, to my best understanding the dust ring/seal is NOT there. But the wheels still won't spin when everything is attached. Please help me out, I need my car running for work on friday. Is there more pieces I need to take off a 4door knuckle to make it fit??

some of the spindles are not interchangable due to several different brake calipers being avalible for 88-91 chassis. so u may need the calipers and pads to finish ur swap. i experienced this problem before its not the axles, also im pretty sure the disks themselves are all the same, but i would take one of ur current ones with u and make sure vs the ones on the 4 door.

Well, i am using my stock crx rotors, pads, and calipers. My only complication is the axle touching the wheel bearing.

well, u can eliminate my info by just pulling the caliper off the hub on either side, with teh car in N, if u still cant turn the spindle than its not the brakes.

I was under the impression that the hubs are different between the 4dr's and the hatch/crx's, although I could be wrong because we haven't really dealt with that issue before. One of our customer's I know is still looking for a passenger side EX 4dr knuckle which from my understanding is different than the typical civic/crx knuckle assembly. Best bet would be trying to get another set that came off a crx. Anything thats not a STD or HF will fit.

Damn, well with that in mind. Does any have have a set of crx knuckles? Willing to trade for one that is off a 4dr. I want local and asap!!!!!! Well, I dont think 4dr ex's are different, they just offer a larger braking potential.

So noone knows if these kunckles would work on my car??? How do ppl with 4dr ef's do their bseries swaps then?

Pretty sure there is a thread in the CRX FAQ that is all about brake upgrades and such. Theres a good chance you'll find an answer there as to what knuckles will and will not work.

is happened to me once. I had to put a big washer where the dust shield went to space the axle away from the hub.

I went to a honda parts website and the caliper land knuckles have the same part number on 90-91 vehicles except for 90-91 EX.

But 88-89 vehicles everything was different. knuckles rotors etc.
