I picked up the car about a year and 5 months ago. The car has a B18B with around 50,000 miles on it but the body of the car has around 174,000 miles. I have a little bit more spending money now to spend on the vehicle, my questions is.

What kind of issues would I run to in the future by putting money into a high mileage vehicle?

Don't worry about the mileage, its just a number.

What is important is upkeep, and replacing parts once they wear out. And yes, as already mentioned, keep it rust free and it'll last forever.
