The B18A1 is a stronger engine off the line for an accord? It is faster in a car that's 1000 lbs lighter. But certainly not an accord.

Your best motor is the H22 for that chassis, please search.

If you are looking for something that is stronger off the line you are looking at the wrong motor.

Besides, that motor wont mount into the car without customizing things like wiring, mounts, shifter assembly, shifter cables, etc.

You could try being a bit more patient and saving more money.

LS motor? B18s are okay swaps in d15 civics, but in a Heavy Accord they lack low-end.

Look into a JDM DOHC F22 motor. Its still a f-series, it has 160 hp, and bolts right in without needing new custom axles/wiring/etc. Depending where you are, you can get them for about $650-700.

civic and teg motors don't belong in accords nor preludes. the other way around yes. honestly, i understand not wanting to kill your bank account but it will happen in the hobby unless your loaded. if you can't afford the correct swap, you shouldn't be doing it at all. i tell you what though, i couldn't either at one point of time. my tranny blew on me so it was a perfect time for a swap. i got a loan, and i had already saved like a grand so i got an h22 and let a shop do the install. you can find a helping hand, and use the writes up that are posted all over the net and do it yourself to save money and gain loads of knowledge or you could find a hand that has done the swap and know what he is doing, pay him a lil bit and your set. either way, you won't have to pay the labor cost from a shop.
