jdm b16 block onto usdm head/transmission
Hi all,
I'm new to honda tech, but have been a reader for awhile. Was hoping to get some help on a question I have about my 99 civic si build. I checked the FAQ and did a little searching first so I hopefully wouldn't waste time with a noob question.
Anyway, I'm preparing for a turbo build and seeing as my SI is my DD i am looking for another short block to build up and eventually throw in. I have found some decent prices on jdm obd 1 b16 blocks compared to usdm obd 2 blocks. My question is what (if anything) will need to be modified to slap in a jdm b16 block onto my SI tranny and head? The FAQ had most of the usual things for an entire swap (dizzy, injector clips, alternator, etc.) which don't apply to me. I gather the CFK bypass trick will need to be done, but do any other major modifications need to be done?
Thanks for the help!
