Default has anyone seen these?

here is something new... carbon padded brakes by rps performance products

alot of horsepower talk is relative to having a good set of brakes.

the video is cool too....

since they are still steel bodied, could they be legal for competition for boti and nopi?

Isn't RPS the people who make great clutches.

In Formula 1 they use carbon brakes, but the brakes need to heat up to work best. They handle the heat better but in a drag car, you need the brakes to work there best at lower temps.

We don't get our brakes that hot for a long time.

you'd be suprized how quickly carbon brakes can get up to temp, and how quick the can come back down... thats the benefit of carbon...

its all in the formula of the carbon pads as well. which rps has finally.... perfected lol

take it from me i know first hand.. lol

Oh yea make me like foolish

You sounded like you didn't know much about them.

Now that I know more I would recommend them.

You young guys are always trying to make us old guy's look bad

I should have known you knew the answers before you ask the question. You seem to be well prepared...

Carbon on carbon is great, but should never be confused with carbon on steel...

I just saw Formula 1 used in comparison and it's a little different ballgame. That's like comparing a carbonetics carbon/steel clutch to a Tilton carbon/carbon. Not even similar..

Drag cars don't buy carbon brakes to stop quicker, they buy them to save weight. At a certain level of racing, they are worth it.

It does, but I think the argument above is since it is Carbon on steel, is that a gray area?

I guess that means the rotors are legal and the pads aren't. lol
