I'm looking to swap a B18c5 in the future and im doing a little investigating?


Which Tranny would i have to use swapping that motor into a eg 4dr civic?
Is they're anything i should know before attempting the swap?
Does Momo make a SrS steering wheel for the EG civic as well or can i use the Steering wheel they make for the EK9?
Can u get Steering wheels re-upholstered?
Im interested in the Volk Racing Gt-C wheels i say it in a nice colored gold in Import Tuner Magazine on the Nissan GtR but i can't find it anywhere.. can some tell me where i can find it?
And Does Mugen make any areo parts for the eg 4dr?

 

As far as the swap goes. make sure you have EVERYTHING. the proper wiring diagrams for VTEC and whatnot. all the PROPER mounts, cause i can tell you from experience if you have a D series and ur doing a B swap, you need different mounts. other wise it wont line up. Make sure u know wether or not you're going to have to get new shift linkage. and make sure you know either which distributer you're going to need. cause sometimes you'll need to change them, OR you can pull the pins and replace the clips and whatnot. you need to make sure your ECU is compatible with the motor otherwise you'll have to have a different ECU. Make sure you have all the proper hoses, which shouldn't be a problem, if you already have a B series motor. if not. then you'll need different upper and lower hoses, and technically the B series radiator, but that just depends on if you want it by the book or not. it sounds like alot, but it's not all the hard, if you're unprepared. then it'll take you 6 months like it did me. i thought i was, but i wasn't so... good luck my friend.
