Default Brake Light goes on and off 97 ek hatch.

I just bought this hatch today and its a 5 spd dx 97. When im driving the red brake light comes on and then off every so often. Doesnt the floater stick in the eks? Or does the e brake need to be adjusted ? I looked at the brake fluid its dirty but it is where it needs to be. Any suggestions? I searched and could only find issues with the brake light on accords. Just to make this clear its the same one as the emergency brake light when i pull it up.

Check at the base of the e-brake, there is a sensor. It has a spring and a copper looking piece. Just adjust that piece. You may have to bend it.

The red brake light doesn't come on when you depress your pedal brakes, only with the e-brake. I had the same problem.
