Default 350z different exhaust, neat project

I don't post up alot of the work, same ol'...
This is a little different though. I really enjoyed doing this one.
The sound of this car is pure sex.
All 304 ss welded with 316L 1/16" filler at anywhere from 38-55amps.
Backpurged with Argon set-up.
Enjoy...

That was the goal. Visibility of the bends in the back through the bumper.

That's not necessarily what I meant. It'll be the lowest point of contact for the chassis, meaning it'll be the first to scrape.

also kinda negates the effects of the x-pipe section and the power you would have gained when you add 3 extra 90's in the back.

still pretty cool though.

That's what he wanted. He wanted something to look at through the bumper from behind. He saw it in the UK somewhere, wanted something similar. It was defiantely harder.

It hasn't scraped yet, but it is low. This is just a toy, he drives like a maniac on his crotch rocket.

So true. I like it, but it wasn't the easiest way. I'm wondering if the length of the tubing has something to do with the sound?

Everyone is always so concerned about eeking out the last possible HP of a part, they forget that there's a side of this industry that caters to looks as well as functionality. Honestly there can't be that much of a power difference between that and an exhaust with a little less piping, and he'll have something truly different than the other 350z owners, something he couldn't say about his body kit.

I for one think it looks great, and I'm always a fan of piping snaking around all over the place, it just looks sexy

i only said what i did because they threw in the nice (beautifully done by the way) x-pipe section in there, where you cant see it then did the crazy snake stuff. its not just a matter of the extra length but also the several unnecessary bends that are in there. i know all about customers wnating stupid stuff done to their cars just because it looks cool or whatever. the purpose of the x-pipe is strictly for power, not for looks unless hes gonna put it on jackstands with mirrors under it like a lowrider. i just found the power gain straight into a power loss amusing.

i think the work is top notch though.

function>form any day.

oh yeah the x-pipe is probably the cause of the beautiful sound, those engines sound awesome as is. i would love to hear this one.

Dam right. Welds look good, project looks good as well. For doing what the customer wanted, and for him having something that will be different.

It works great. Found it to be the easiest and most accurate when I was doing roll cages.
