axle comming out of trans! how to fix?
ok so my axle has vibrated out of the trans on the passenger side (nonhalfshaft side) multiple times during burnouts and whatnot. So I was just wondering if anyone has found a solution to this problem. I am planing on just stretching out the cir clip when it goes back inthe trans this time.
nono this is a 95 LS integra. I figured I would just replace the clip like above just wondering if anyone else has a different idea. Its not a stock axle but I don't want to name names. I have a stock one in now but when my Quaife comes in I will be putting the aftermarket axle in at the same time. I just don't want to keep having the same problem.
stock diff for now, soon to be quaife. Think the quaife will help?

no offense to dss at all, they are damn good axles but i know many have had problems with the passenger side axle popping out. you just gotta get it in the tranny all the way. what i did, along with rota/1992si was get a 2x4 and put it against the outter axle spindle and just get rough with it
I wasted a Pass side DSS axle and striped a spool when it poped.
I dont know. I am going to send it back and they arew going to throw a new end on it for $250 this is the DSS stage 3's

interesting.. this isn't a DSS but I am sure it was installed correctly. Oh and they should replace you end for free if u put it in correctly.
i always get the tranny side in and use the outer joint as a slide hammer to ram that sucker in there. This has happened to me only once, and never again.

Another tip with this side axle is to make sure the shaft is in the best alignment angle with the diff. As straight as possible, may be put a jack under the LCA and raise it up to help the alxe get the best angle. Then use the 2X4 block and a 5-7lb sledge hammer. It never popped out again.

Mine was in there without a doubt I had about 12 passes on it and it was fine. Then one pass It almost sent me into a wall.
It could have been a mixture of the 2 the spool and the axles. but it was not the installation!

my passenger side axle can wobble in the trans fairly decent. havent had a dial indicater on it but it makes me nervous. pull diff out, and it looks flawless. DSS axles b16 trans anyone notice this?

mine does that too, has the slightest bit of movement, i dont think its anything to worry about, its not leaking fluid and its not popping out.

On the Highend axle kits like the Mark Williams, I believe the new DSS kit and a few others the intermediate shaft gets bolted through the trans to the other axle hub to keep this from happening on the high HP cars..We drilled our Rob Moores just in case it happened, but it never did. Your install, the spool or the axle may not be your problem...You may just be shaking it out from wheel hop, torque steer, improper alignment, loose rack, bad ball joints, uneven tire roll out, left and right corner weights may be off etc.....it "should not" happen but its racing so it does.
