Will my '89 a6 tranny work with my newer '95 z6?

Planning on doing a swap soon, picked up a '95 z6 motor,ecu, wiring harness for dirt cheap with no tranny, I want to use my dead a6's tranny..
Will it just bolt on with no issues?, do I need a specific clutch?
Any help appreciated...

yea it wil work you can use any clutch except the 88

just make sure you match the clutch to the flywheel. for instance if you use the z6 flywheel get a 92-00 clutch. if you use your stock a6 flywheel use stock clutch. if your car is an 88 then you are stuck with the clutch from an 88 and will need to re-use the a6 flywheel.
