Default Has anyone ever Lost power after doing a valve adjustment?

I Did a valve adjustment on my Civic last week and it feels and sounds different. Right away I noticed My Mid Range and Top end Have lost power noticeably.

Intake was lashed at .006 and exhaust is at .007

Setup:
B18C With stock head
Wisco 8.8 to 9.1 comp
Scat H-Beams
Head-studs
blah,blah blah

Freshly built 1,200 miles ago not yet boosted

I would like to know if anyone has experinced this or am I amagining this?

you probably did the valve lash incorrectly and have them too loose, are they loud? or are the valves quiet and make the car hard to idle?

When i did them I actually did them tight and it did quiet them down, They're not noisiey. and it idels normal.

My Low end torque is the same but *** soon as it gets to 4,500rpm there is no power, and i know the low comp isnt helping any but it ran Sooo good before i did the valve adjustment.

Three possibilities:
1. You did the valve adjustment incorrectly
2. It's in your head
3. They were tight before which "simulates" more camshaft and the engine wants more cam

I dont really understand this. What do you mean by "The engine wants more cam"?

Since I lashed them tight can it cause my problem?

What he is saying is the tigher the lash, the closer the rocker gets to the cam. This allows the valve to open more.

Well it seems to run better with the exhaust a little bigger lash. I might re-lash the intake to .007 and see how that runs

Since you are running low compression, if you add duration/lift ( tight lash) you will loose even more dynamic compression . . . could be making the sluggish motor even worse
