Default HIDs or cat-back? which do you choose?

So I got new wheels for my ride and sold off the old EX alloys for $100. Now I have $100 to blow on the car. Which would you choose? The car is basically stock other than the CAI and test pipe. Bright lights or blinging cannister? Help me out suckas!

E-bay HIDs: $70-$75 shipped

or

N1-style cat-back: $120

Are you going to pay to have the HID's retrofitted?

Don't get HID's unless you plan on doing it the proper way, and doing a projector retrofit.

Retrofitting is fo' suckas.... just point your headlights a bit lower and most of the head-on glare is reduced. I'm planning to buy projectors when I find a set that doesn't look like it came off the set of FF1,2 or 3.

The N1 cat-back is pretty slick, and will work great when I do my turbo swap in the near future.

Get what you pay for.

Certain things I wouldn't buy a "style"

Exhaust you will probably have it rusting through and have fitment issues.

Ebay HID's are cheaply made

I would do HID's just for the fact that they will help you more than a cat back will. You get immediate gratification with the HID's but the catback will only be truly effective and noticable with the whole i/h/e setup.

Also, as a matter of fact I have some quality headlights and HID's for sale. Hit me up and can go from there.

before I got my Greddy's I was about to get the Tsudo N1 Styled cat-back. I wouldn't get it. A friend of mine got it and put it on his civic and everytime it hits about 3500rpm it rattles and sounds like a fart can. Save up for a better system like Greddy, Apexi, HKS, etc.. I'd save up for good exhaust if you're going to some preformance...if your up for looks...get hids and do some tints or other exterior work.

ebay isnt all bad. i have a blitz style cat back, meagan racing test pipe, an off brand 4-2-1 header, and a ebay cold air intale and i havent had any problems at all... slight fitment issues, but nothing a few minutes of elbow grease wont fix. granted the stuffs cheap, but theres no doubt that it works.

imho.. do the cat-back... go is more important than show any day of the week and twice as much on sunday!!!!!
