Default how much can you boost on stock 94 ls motor b18

like no head work or block sense it is non v tec low compression. just wondering how many pounds of boost can you push it without throwing anything?

Ive been running 10 psi on mine for a year with no problems....in my mind no higher than 10 is perfect with good power, and safe for the engine.

my one buddy is running, I think 11 on his b18. makes 268 whp, I know that. been that way for almost a year...

If we're going to have a discussion here, please post relevant, informative information.

First of all, boost doesn't really determine anything (until you get to the point where spiking IATs become a factor OR you're running a stock map and can't boost more than 11psi). Other than those two instances, boost pressure is not an indication.

Power is what you should base your goals from. Most stock B series engines are good for about 300whp at whatever PSI you need to get them there (other than the factors i listed above). If we're going to have a discussion about this, at least use correct information in your posting.

By the way, forced induction posts are generally answered better in the Forced Induction forum...
