Un-freggin-believable. Bart Borowskis ITR was stolen from his house last night (Mon 3-24) sometime between the hours of 10pm and 6am. Car was parked on street in front of the house with alarm armed. This morning...poof...car is gone just some wires left laying on the street.

Any Chi-town people PLEASE keep an eye open for the car. Its 2001 Black, no stickers, regular "A" badges (no red), stock wing, and steelies on it. Car was 100% stock (had already had bling autox parts removed thank goodness) and had 97k.

Items to watch for:
2 front seats with small tears in them
Rear seats perfect condition (no fade)
Cracked right front blinker
No badge on armrest
Some light hail damage on hood

If you see or hear ANYTHING please shoot me a PM. This car was owned by one of the nicest guys ever, not to mention one of the best autocrossers in the country. Please keep your eyes and ears peeled for the smallest possible lead.

Isn't this the second D-stock Champion ITR to be stolen now. I think Brian Fitzpatrick's ITR was stolen a few years back.

Dang! I am so sick of hearing about our ITR's being picked off like this. We seriously need to have a cable attached from our cars to our legs or something. I am about to go out and buy some heavy duty chain and a lock to chain up my car everynight on top of everything else I've done. Good luck with the find man.

Yeah, me too. That's why I'm driving an EVO, 'stead of another R. Nobody in their right mind would steal that P.O.S.

We need to start setting bait Rs so len can break in that new hardware. I think after we killed a few, this sort of thing would decline.

Damn, that sucks. I really need to figure out what to do to secure my DSP 98 ITR. No alarm at all right now, but from what I've seen, I'm not sure if an alarm is worth it anyhow.

It really does make you want to say screw it and buy a different car like an M3 or Evo like someone mentioned earlier.

It's really disappointing because for those that don't know, this guy cleaned up this year at Nationals in Topeka.

I wish him luck in the recovery and this is a great post to help him recover what's his.

I'd get an alarm with a gigantic red LED blinking to ward off all of the novice thieves. The pros,....well, not much you can do. Garage with security is the best.

For ITR owners it always has been.

The key to keeping your ITR is anonymity for sure.
