Default similarityies between F20B, H22 non A4 and f22b1 blocks?

im thinking about swapping an F20B into my daily 97 ex, when i heard that the SiR's came with them stock, then i found out they are just destroked H22 motors.

then i read all the freggin pages of the H23 block, h22 on f22 threads etc aqnd that cnfused the **** out of me.

(all i know are d16's, b series and k24's)

i have a project civic......awaiting a k24, so i don't want anything too crazy, also do not want FRM sleeves.

the accord already has an f22b1 in it, it is a 5 speed and in the next 30 days or so i'll still have my f22b2 powered 97 LX parts car that i took stole the grey interior and working aprts off of, then im going to sell it. so should i grab anything else if im considering a f20b swap or h22 swap off of the auto car?

im an accord newbie despite driving one daily and my dad buying the black auto one new in 97, i always thought they were too heavy like the preludes but damn i was wrong

If you don't want FRM sleeves then stay away from the H. All the F blocks have non FRM sleeves. Other than that take what you think you might want for spare parts. All the drive-train and suspension parts between the Ex B1 and the Lx B2 are interchangeable. As for the F20B I'm not 100% on what parts are interchangeable. Someone else will chime in for ya on that one.

actually i think im good on suspension, i still need to sell the black auto accord......it still runs...........it's just auto with an f22b2 LOL

i already got:

grey interior - dumped my tan interior into it
-non cracked tails for my crakced tails
-non damaged hood for my damaged good
-oem mud flaps
-headlight housings that were mint v. mine that i made a scrap metal mounting tab for haha

i doubt i need anything else from the car. unless it is needed for the swap which i will gladly remove it. i kind of want to drive my green manual accord while i build/assemble the swap so it can be a weekend type deal and drive it 50+ miles to school andwork immediatley

thank you for the reply

Swapping the F20B in is just like swapping in an H22. Use the same parts as you would for an H22 for the F20B, but only in the head and timing components. Bottom end is totally different.

http://www.innovativemounts.com - has a specific mount kit for it.

personally for all the aggrevation ,head aches and speed bumps you'll encounter would def. stick to putting h22's or even f22b1 that are dime adozen here in us instead of having to deal will lots of extra crap unless you live in japan and can access parts if your speaking about the j spec f20b vtec sohc in my opinion ...
