Well I don't know how this place is about HID's, and I know a lot of you are from crsx.com but they seem way too biased so I'm not ready to ask this quesiton over there.
Everyone says to just go HID's in my stock housing. My brother has been convincing me otherwise, this is because he says they are just way too scattered, and hardly have a cut off, just kind of fade off kinda high which isn't very efficient. So he says the only way to go HID's is to get retrofitted headlights.
So is this true about HID's in stock housings?
Thanks.

Yes, HID bulbs in your stock housing will "scatter" the light. The glare is ridiculous and definitely blinds people. If you want HID's get a retrofit, you can PM prelude1897 on here, he does retrofits for a really decent price he did mine and he's legit
Also, you might be able to get more info in the lighting forum they may explain it a little better

Your brother is correct. HID's in a stock housing will do exactly as described. Most people just put then in the stock housing because they want the "cool HID" look. You can either get your stock lights retro fitted or look for some Type-R headlamps. HID's were an option with those cars.

i have hid's in my stock lights, but they do scatter light upwards a little bit. but im planning on tracking down a set of the DC5r hid lights to go with my new bumper
i can maybe get a picture of the cutoff tonight, when it gets dark.
