So I bought some AUG Lens' Painter (Smoke) so that I can darken my headlights to match my tinted taillights and the rest of the car.

....anyway....I was trying to read the instructions on prepping to apply this stuff. There's just one little problem....

EVERYTHING'S IN JAPANESE. And I mean EVERYTHING....except for the product name of course.

Anybody with some experience or know-how with doing this type of thing that can help me out please do so. This is my first time trying something like this so I don't wanna screw it up. The bottle is pretty small so I don't have alot of paint to work with.

And I know some of you are thinking of bringing up the lamin-x idea....but I already tried that route. I don't have access to a heat gun or any special tools to get the film to curve around the sharp edges of the headlight so that idea is out for now.

And i've checked on the legality of it as well and I should be fine.....so please don't bring that up either.

So now i'm gonna experiment with this stuff and hope that it works with good results.

I will post pics of the results as soon as I am finished so again any helpful advice is certainly useful and much-appreciated.

I have just been messing around with testors (model paint) clear black. First time using it I was not getting the desired darkness & then I realized I applied too much & started to run. I would apply a couple light coats - let dry then reapply (repeat until you reach the desired darkness

I preped the lenses with 2000 grit sand paper (from autoparts store) then sprayed paint & sanded again & then polished with Meguiars "plasti-X"
