Default Removing haze

Does anybody know if using plastic polisher and wet sanding the headlight lens will get rid of the haze that is on the lens? If not does anybody know how to?

do not wet sand, I've done that to part of the headlight when I did the DIY black housing headlights and I had some **** on the lens. so I decided to wet sand it a lil, WRONG IDEA, leaves it really faded and worse! I would like to know the answer to this question though, bump for info!

theres a thread in the appearance cosmetic section right now about this, and some members have wetsanded the headlights and then used the platic polish. I tried finding the thread for you but had no luck.

i wet sanded some taillights i had a while back. at first they were very dull, but i rubbed on some GS27 that i had laying around and they shined right up. that stuff actually is good for something! it's probably very similar stuff as the plastic polish. make sure you use VERY fine wet-sand paper and don't press too hard. you could always just try the plastic polish (or GS27) first instead of the wetsanding.

Dude its so easy and turns out really well. Do wet sanding in 3 stages 1200 1500 and 2000 grit sandpaper. Then use a buffer to apply some plastic polishing compound (3M makes some good ****). Then get some of the Meguiars Plastic X and clean em up really good. Then apply some spray wax and the **** will look awesome. If I had a digital cam id take pix of mine but Im poor...... Hope that helps

If you use a buffer make sure to keep the buffer at a slow speed. If you go to fast you can burn the plastic.

Here is what I did and they came out like brand new....
Like polishing(if you know how to polish)

I wet sanded with 400 grit (only cuz they were REALLY bad)

did 400 for a lil while, then did 600 800 1000 and finally 1500, probably wouldnt hurt to do 2000 clean them off, then Get some Mothers Aulminum chrom polish and swirl it in with dime size swirles, then buff out good.

Wipe some whitening toothpaste on them babies before you go out and get sandpaper and all of that stuff. Let them sit and then buff it off, takes off a lot of the grime and weird yellow tint that you get on it.

If it doesn't work and you're not totally satisfied, move on to the wet sanding.
