before i "borrowed" my PLX to my buddy i had it snug behind my steering wheel on my 99si, dont have any pictures but i am sure that you get the idea.

Personally i thought and my buddy that still has it is that the PLX unit is a little cheap looking and feeling. I would look more into the gauge type WB02's like the AEM or even the FAST unit. JMO

I have been using the PLX units for about 4 years now. They are perfect if you are going to keep it in your car for a time and they have a MUCH faster response rate than the NGK unit.

I would much rather use the PLX than the NGK.

Been using PLX for a while too and have nothing but good luck with it as well. I originally used the M300 and now i'm using the PLX DM-5 & AFR Wideband o2 which is a PLX gauge style setup. Either one of those would be great IMO.

i've also been using the plx m300 for some time now without any issues. it reacts very fast, which took some time getting use to.

i dont have any pics of it but i do have a short dyno vid. where you see how its set up in my coupe.

no install pics but make sure you get a "good" 12v signal and its own ground. the less interference the better, or so i've read.

plx makes gauges too, this gauge and the wideband controller is actually cheaper than the m-300 too:

or even their customizable organic display:

ive used my m-300 for over a year now with excellent success. easy to read day or night, responds quick, not to expensive, sensors last a while. all round good for not a bad price. Innovatives are good too.

My NGK AFX works flawlessly and the display is large and bright so it's easy to read while driving. The only problem is the lack of datalogging ability. I have mine mounted on the steering column just like you wanted. I'll post pictures when I get home if I can remember.
