Default 1.5/1.6 mini mini me swap

ok so i did the swap now the car ides really rough and when i try to give it gas it wants to cut out i still have my 1.5 distribtor on it do i need the 1.6 cause it sounds like its misfiring or something to that nature...and they guy that helped me he only tourqed the head bolts to 40lbs does it need to be more...? and is the firing order diff from a 1.5 to a 1.6 ....?

A 1.5 distributor will work if you hack up the frame (assuming you're using a z6/d15b head). Make sure your ignition and cam timing are both correct. The firing order is the same.

40 ft-lbs is too low. This is the torque spec and sequence for a z6 head:



If you're using ARP head studs instead of the stock bolts, you should have torqued them to 60 ft-lbs with their moly lube.

what is the firing order..? is it diff from the 1.5 non vtec to the 1.6 vtec...?

does it matter if i used my 1.5 cam gear on the 1.6 head for the timing will that throw it off...? and if so what should i do ...??

The firing order is the same.

Yes, it does make a difference if you're using either cam gear. You will need a y7/y8 gear or an adjustable gear to correct for the timing difference.

Always make sure you double check your cam and ignition timing.
