Tie rod replacement
While doing my auto to manual swap, I noticed a whole bunch of grease coming out of the boot on the driver side tie rod. Also, on the passenger side, the castle nut spins the entire bolt. I was thinking of buying these that I saw on ebay:

My question is, Are they the same for 4WS as the others? i'm asking because i saw that on partstrain.com, it said that they exclude 4ws.

i actually just bought that same set planning on replacing my inner and outer tie rods. as for 4ws, the rear gear box uses different tie rods than the steering rack. As for the fronts i believe the tie rods are the same whether it be 4ws or not. hope that helps

Not the outers(atleast on the not 4ws models) , im not sure for the inner if someone else can answer that. The outers i believe i just needed to break the nut loose on the end of it ( i think it was 14mm) and then pop the balljoint loose on the knuckle then just rotate it off. Try to have an idea where you were with the old tie rod end. Its always a good idea to get the toe set again after replacing steering parts.

It's pretty straightforward...
-jack car up
-take wheels off
-remove cotter pin and castle nut
-pop ball joint (you will need a BJ popper!)
-use 2 wrenches to loosen tie rod end & remove it
-get the new tie rod ends to be as close to the same length as the old ones as you can
-install new one and tighten jam nut
-tighten castle nut and install cotter pin
-wheels, lower car, etc...

Tie rod ball joint!
You definitely should not have to separate the lower ball joint.
I also forgot to mention alignment like everyone said. Do that as soon as you can if you like your tires...
