Default Compustar alarm install in a 96 civic ex

So i recenty picked up a compustar CM3300 from my buddy and i am planing on installing it in my 96 civic. I still have the stock keyless enty in it witch is a stupid set up becuse it runs throught the stock deck. I have the stock deck behind the dash so that it will still work. I talked to a guy about istalling it and he said that alot of the wires that you need to install the compustar system are in the pig tail that the stock keyless entry runs through. Does that sound right???

Ditto the above.^^^
You will also be able to remove the stock HU, it only contains the key-less entry RF section, you will have the Compustars RF to communicate with the door locks.
You can even get alarm integration adapter harnesses for your car... http://www.scosche.com/product...D/298 94

The stock wiring harness that the stock HU plugs in to that runs the keyless enty. Do you happen to know what wires besides the door locks and dome light. if any?

Sorry that last post did not make any sense. My ? is the wireing harness that plugs in to the back of the stock HU Do you happen to know what wires are in that harness that i will need to splice to go in to the copmustar alram. Or if i get that adaptor what wires are in that. Such as.. Door locks, Dome light..........

OIC, sorry I am not sure what leads you will find other then the dome light and door locks, I never wire anything to it, I get this adapter... http://www.scosche.com/product...D/597, the bigger one for the HU and the smaller one is just a jumper for the dome light.

Not a very stealthy alarm install if wiring is done at the OEM plug, however, the adapter harness you get should tell you what leads are what. 94

So other than doing it that way i could just wire it all up under the steering column? Do all the door wires and want not end up over in that direction?

Just forget about the OEM plug completely and do what it says on cause for alarm. It's in my sig.

Here's the 96 Civic page:
