Default *PICS ADDED* Got her back and there's already issues...

My R has been sitting for 3 months with no love. So I had my R in the shop for a week getting the usual maintenance, inspection, emissions exemption , and some aftermarket stuff put on.

So I get her back on friday, after having all iridium plugs replaced after a misfire code in cyl. 4 from bad plug. After that was fixed, got my Buddy Club header and test pipe put on. Will have pictures later !

So as I am leaving the shop where I take the R on Friday afternoon, I open her up a bit to the end of the road about 1/2 mile away... Get the red and blue lights flashing behind me... I mean come on, not even driven 1/2 a mile and pulled over Cop take license and registration, tells me "You shouldn't be rippin it up and down these streets." I tell him "Sorry, but I just got her out of the shop. Won't happen again..." He smiles and tells me to "Have a nice day." Nice cop, just warning me! Sweet.

So, here is the crappy part. I go out to lunch today with my buddy after beating on her all weekend. By the way, she sounds beautiful and runs super smooth and clean now! ...anyway, I open her up and pass this stupid eclipse and she throws a light! *****! So, now I gotta get her back to the shop and check this light out. Regardless of the light she runs amazing, beyond anything I expected! I highly recommend the Buddy Club header and test pipe!

Sorry if I am rambling, but will have post installation pics and updates on issues as it progresses, but any input is appreciated!

*****UPDATED*****

So here are some pics after it was installed. Here is my new header with test pipe:

There are no clearance issues, but it did fit very snug, which is fine!

It's probably nothing major with that light man. I've found as long as my R is running well the check engine lights are always minor. Post up those pics!

All you need to check that light is a paper clip...

Whats this paper clip thing you speak of...

anyway, she runs better than I could have ever imagined! I am in love with my R now, more than ever before!

I had one of those CEL Eliminators put on my test pipe, so it may be that my ecu reset and the eliminator didnt help. I will get it worked out and pics will be up in the morning!

Once again, buy Buddy Club header and test pipe from JHPUSA.com if you want some sexy sounds, looks, and performance out of your N/A type R!

use a paper clip or wire to bridge the two ports on the little green connector and you can read the CEL codes by counting the flashes. Read here. http://www.c-speedracing.com/faq/06.php

if you're referring to the anti-foulers on the test pipe, it often takes two of them to get rid of the CEL.

Check out the update pictures! I took it to my shop and they checked it out. It seems to just be a O2 reading out of the bandwidth, so it will be fixed soon. no major issue!

Well the mugen cover is temporary because I am refinishing my stock valve cover. Other than that, my car is all real stuff!

Thanks Doostur. I don't care really either, but I like have the real good stuff for this car! The Mugen replica cover I can live with because its pretty much an exact replica, but all other mods are real, nice parts!

Yeb, sometimes it really isn't worth going authentic. Gotta weigh out cost vs "quality" aka paying for the name
