Default Just to double check( NEW tie rods, ball joints, etc...)

Its a 91 DX, Manual Rack

So i just did the whole combo:

Inner tie rods
Outter Tie rods
UCA's
Lower B/J
Sway Bar end links

Two questions:

1. When i put the new Inner Tie rod in, do i have to bent that little washer that stops is from unscrewing the end? Or it will be fine just like that?

2. After all those brand new parts my car got alot stiffer. Its stupid stiff now, actually. I got omni powers, kyb's and 1.5 inch exented top hats.

thanks!

I purchased from arm_can, I haven't that many issues with the products. On the other hand, I can't compare them to new OEM because I've never had the change for those

Looking to replace all these also. I heard stock was the best way to go...For better ride quality over extreme stiffness.

yea same place, so far so good, how long did you had them for?

So different brands make the difference in stiffness and such right?

I just put new inner and outers on my car... loosened up after >25 miles of driving. I also tightened up the steering input preload.... with that and the inner rack end bushing... my front end feels new ^_^

i used to just use red locktite and be done with it, but after seeing a few come loose i started bending the lock washers down.

all you need to do is grab them with some vise grips at an angle that will bend them towards the flat spot on the tie rod.

if you dont theres a chance of them loosening when the alignment is done.

IDK the more I look at them the more I am thinking about staying away from them. I dont think cheap is the best route to go in your steering...

in your original post i see 1 question and one comment mark as a question, but dont see a question in the statement.

i thought i answered the one question i seen. you responded but i dont understand exactly what you was asking back. there should be nothing in the way of bending the locks down except the bellows boot, once thats pulled back you shouldnt have a problem bending them. turning the wheel to the opposite side that you are working on (extends the rack end towards you) makes it alot easier. if that doesnt work turn the wheel the other way and work from under the car.
