Question about color choice from dc2 r to the dc5 r
For anybody who is interested in ever buying a DC2 R has many choices of colors to choose. Choosing from Champ White / Yellow / Red / Black / Silver, when it comes to a DC2 R. All of these colors are absolutely beautiful, even the silver and I hate silver, but if it came in the form of a R then i wanna be first to own it. Now the DC5 R hits the street scene sad to say not for America but for the rest of the world to enjoy
. I might be wrong, but as far as I know they only have few choices in colors for the DC5 R. Choices are Champ White / Black / Grey / BLUE
. BLUE Its a nice color, nice when it comes to the recaro seats rare, but i would never trade it in or due away with the Classic Yellow or Red. BLUE was nice when it came out for the 99-00 Civic Si, but quickly played out as ever car maker had their edition of the same blue and every tuner quickly hit the paint shop just to have that electron blue or some similar blue on their car. Yellow.... yellow only looks good on 2 cars Integra Type R and the Nsx. I see yellow on other cars and it doesnt have the same effect. We all have the magnet for the yellow R, I even catch it driving on the opposite side of the freeway, its just one of those cars.
1. Why would anybody due away with yellow and red for blue R related?
2. What are your thoughts about the new cool blue over yellow/ red?
3. Has anybody ever seen a yellow RSX to possibly see the potential of what the R might look like? (Post Pics Please)
4. For argument sake, is champ white of the DC5 R still the fastest or is their another color stepped up their game?
My last thoughts for the day. I'm sure this subject has been talked about before, but why would honda due away with shipping the DC5 R to America. We all know that the R cant compete on certain levels with cars being sold on the market today. But when it come to the R lovers its about the appreciation of a beautiful car. No matter what the competition is that car would've still sold like hot cakes. Honda I believe set the bar for competing in the import world, and after many many years the only way for any car company to hang with honda is to slap a Turbo on the car, and thats still to this day, and thats something honda should be proud of. I know gas prices are uncool, but everybody gotta be in discus in the direction honda is going with their cars. At the end of the day I still love driving my R its the best thing thats ever happen.

1. Milano Red was available for the DC5R, BTW.

2. I personally love Arctic Blue Pearl, as I had an ABP Type-S before.

How can you not like ABP?
3. The only thing closest to a yellow DC5 would be Spoon's.

4. Uh, CW will always be Honda's choice of color for an R.

I don't have any larger versions of that pic, but here are other MR DC5Rs that might work for your desktop pic.

I always thought Blaze Orange Metallic was a very nice color, that or Imola Orange Pearl Metalic would've been a nice choice to replace PY for the DC5 R

Yeah my RSX-S feels kind of girly at times
Are the DC5R's actual chassis different at key points like the DC2R's were compared to reg DC2 ???
