Well right when I'm getting ready to sell my car, I run into some kind of fuel problem.

The car runs fine and strong at low rpm until you reach the VTEC crossover.... At this point on my air/fuel guage, it goes STRAIGHT to lean and the car starves and eventually dies. It'll run fine when you take your foot out of the gas pedal, but as soon as you hit it again, it leans out severely.


I'm thinking one thing. Its a fuel problem. No fuel = lean. So perhaps could this be my fuel pump going out? Or maybe a bad fuel filter?

The pump is OEM and probably has never been changed.


Let me know ASAP. I have a guy wanting to pick it up soon!

Have you tried changing the fuel filter?

 

Oddly enough, there are no CEL codes at all..... VTEC engages, car runs strong, and right at 4700rpm where my engagement is set. It goes super lean and starves out.


And no, I was going to pick one up tomorrow. But you think the pump is going to **** on me? It fires straight up and runs fine as long as you're modest with your foot. I just drove like thirty seconds ago.
