Ok i have a plx m300 wideband that i want to run all the time with my setup. Yes i know that the sensors can take a **** after a while but i have some questions about installing the wideband. I will be running hondata s200 with the wideband on a p28. One of my questions is does the wideband replace the narrow band sensor and work as a normal sensor for the ecu as well as reads your lambada at the same time? I guess what i'm asking is i will only need to uses the wideband sensor correct? I don't need the wideband sensor and a narrowband sensor on my downpipe, unless i'm wrong?
The other question i have is how to wire up the system. I went to plxdevices.com and found the instructions to wire up the system with hondata and as you can see there's a grey wire that's not used....is this right? I just think it would be weird that a wire wouldn't be used at all. And if you can look at the diagram you can see it just says Hondata ecu and it shows their wires being spliced in to the "ecu wire harness" they're just saying i can splice the wires in anywhere on the harness right?
Here's the link

Someone help me maybe i'm just over thinking this.
Thanks guys and HAPPY EASTER!!!

Yes you replace the narrowband with the wide band. As far as splicing it to the ecu i would splice it to a different power source unless i'm wrong I would rather see power comming from a different source a fused sorce you dont want to tap into the wrong wire or short something out in your ecu 12 volts is 12 volts i'de go from somewere else
