need help on my alarm

Hey guys, I need some help with my alarm. When I unlock or lock the door, the alarm doesn't beep, but the alarm is still active because when it is locked and I use my key to unlock the door, the alarm will go off. I don't want to go to the dealership cuz they will charge me. I just need to know how to make it beep when I lock/unlock the door. So, does anybody know how to fix this problem? I looked in the manual book and it doesn't say how to fix it. So please help me out. This alarm is from acura.I drive a 2001 Integra Type R

Sounds like the alarm is in passive mode, try doing a search for "acura disable passive alarm". Only thing I can think of

I drive a 2001 Integra Type R</TD></TR></TABLE> I have the exact same problem on my 98 r with oem acura alarm.
Thing is mine doesnt have the optional siren.
Anyone know where i can purchase the oem siren because there is a switch on the alarm box for siren.
