1991 integra RS hatch exhaust problem
I just got an integra, its an old RS hatch 5 spd. it has 262k miles on it.
while learning stick on a parking lot i bucked in reverse and now it sounds different. Upon closer inspection my friend said the flange (sp?) is disconnected from where the exhuast meets the engine. Its right where that long pipe goes all the way to the back of the car. So directly under my engine it sounds like a race car. if you poke the exhuast pipes they wiggle, its like the pipe is to small for the opening and it has jiggle room in the opening. He said it must have gotten knocked out when i popped so hard.
How can i fix this? he said a shop would do the exhuast work for about 150 while my brother said i could weld it?
Anyone had this problem before, any suggestions? The lower the price the better I dont have any cash to throw around right now.

if it's just disconnected, just get another bolt and connect it back up. but if not, you might have popped a hole into your exhaust, i bet you can just go to a muffler shop and they'll weld it up for less then 50 bucks.
although with the amount of miles on your car, your exhaust might just be old and started to rust away....

Replacing your entire exhaust from manifold back, cat - muffler - piping - labour - resonator I was quoted at 900 total.. You can easily go aftermarket for less :x..
take it to a muffler shop and see what they say, ask them what your options are.. And then go to 2 other muffler shops.
And then do it yourself instead.
