Sorry in advance if this gets locked out but I did look in the FAQ site and saw it was stated that 05 was the last year (I didn't post this because I thought it was common knowledge and I wanted to see what others had to say). Anyway I went to the dealer the other day and was looking at a few cars and went in to talk to the sales person. I ended up talking to three different people in sales there and all three of them said that 2006 was the last year they made the Si hatchback (this is where I was going to go with the first post). What are they taking about? Was the 06 Si they were calling a hatchback really a 2 door coupe or were all of them just wrong?? Can anyone clear this up?

...and look at the FAQ (which that link is in). EP3 Civics (Si hatchbacks) were available in the US from 02-05. Period.

A quick FAQ or google search would yield you this information, and why I lock threads that are so obviously researched.

 

Yes, I know. I have done all of this research. My question is basically what are the dealers referring to when they talk about a 2006 civic Si hatchback????? Is it really a coupe they are talking about???? Like I said I talked to three different Honda sales persons and they told me the hatchback was discontinued in 2006. I wasn't able to determine for myself by reading all the material what they were taking about. I am just wondering and not intending to be a dick or cocky or anything like that it's just bugging me a lot and I was hoping somebody on here could help me out.

 

Salespeople are often idiots when it comes to the history of the brand they are selling. This should come as no surprise. The dude now selling Hondas was probably selling Pontiacs last year.

06+ Si's are the 2-door coupes or 4-door sedans.

And I love how they make up crap that is so crazy to sell the cars. When I was shopping for my EP3, I looked at an FG coupe and the salesman told me how the dealership got an STi to compare the Si to and the Si was faster and handled better than the STi.

 

I would love to steal the z3 out of a wrecked 06 and get that LSD into my 02
