sedan auto seatbelt issue
i recently bought a 91 sedan dx for a daily beater.
the seatbelts function properly but the light and chime randomly go nuts. i've checked all the connections and none of them seem to be the issue.
i am pretty sure the control relay is the issue. but i havent taken it apart to look at it, are these a known issue?? kinda like the main relays??
although i am pretty positive its the problem i dont want to take it apart and follow all the traces to see if there is a short (there is a at least 10-12 wires going into this thing) unless i have to.
any ideas as to what i might check before i tear teh relay apart??

My civic is doing the same thing.Im just amazed that the auto seatbelt is still working. If you put the lap belt on it will stop dinging but the light is still there.Im gonna try the fuses tomorrow.
might want to try to take it to honda. I know they have a life-time warrenty on seatbelts and they fixed my sedan ones for free when they quit working.
did you check your plug on your driver side door? it goes from your door to the inside of your car.it has your speaker and seatbelt wires in there. see if its loose that maybe your promblem it was on mine.
you're a smart guy, you know how to wear your seat belt.
if the speaker is in the same place as the civics and crxs, just open the rear view mirror. find the plug, unplug it! lol, then reinstall the mirror. easy as cake
i did that then took out all the stupid seatbelt sensor wiring in my car, just a waste of space
GOOD LUCK!

Why not get it fixed for free at honda? as long as the car was not crashed or flooded they should cover it under their lifetime seatbelt warranty
