you think a auto part stores could test the main relay? i took it out and take a look and i can't tell by the naked eyes if it's good or bad.

Yes a main relay can be tested, if you have an ohm meter or a voltage meter, than you can check the resistance between the terminals. If I remember correctly, I had a Hanes repair book that the correct ohm readings in it. You could try that. Or take it to the auto parts store and see if they can check it for you.

What problem are you having that makes you think the main relay is out?

i don't know dude, i'm just lost and confused with this 92 civic. problems after problems...head gasket, cel, transmission, now ???

the problem i'm having right now is bogging on high acceleration. bogs only on 1st,2nd, and 3rd gear. highway speed and regular driving is fine.

could you diagnose the problem for me? i know it's hard over the phone or internet. but i just hope someone can pin-point it out for me. i've talked to dozens of CL mechanics and they most have different sayings.

i took it to a shop this morning and a mechanic said it could be the fuel pump relay or fuel pump. why can't i pick one?

yes it can be tested just like sleeper says.
