Default Anyone tried to make ITB out of GSR or H22 butterflies?

me and my cousin was thinking about making it for his car.

the only thing is we will have to fab up something on the left end for a TPS.

We were gone chop up a manifold to use the flange, then get some round to oval tubing for between the butterfly and the flange. Then cut away the extra material on top with the square port. Then drill and tap holes for velocity stacks. Then drill and tap holes for vacuum and sensors.

I measured it and it was 1.700" +/- .010, about 44mm. the TWM is 52mm, about 2.052"

anyone tried this? got any tips?

well if we do it right it will cost less then $100.

youll be better off finding some cbr or hayabusa throttle bodies

it will be easier, you can space them however you want, and use the tps that are on them already

Yes the cbr/busa's are way easier.

However is the plate pictured from a gsr or h22? Are the H22 bores bigger than the gsr's?

the picture shows the gsr butterfly plate

the problem with that is you couldnt use the lower part of the manifold, because it is made in a "Y" shape, so you would have to make lower runners from scratch as well as on top (or stacks), not to mention rig a tps up on the end, which might be a bit of a bitch

its from a GSR and its about 44mm which is the same as some bikes.

i was wondering if the H22 ones are bigger.

I think the only thing that would be a challenge would be making a housing for the TPS and attaching it to the bar on the butterfly. I also have full access to a machine shop so it would be a little easier for me.

i just need a welder. i know a guy but iono how much he would charge.

if i can get this working it would be a really cheap setup.

velocity stacks are $40
and circle to oval tubes are about $50 i think.

i just took off the end cap on the butterfly and saw a phillips screw at the end. i think this will make it easier since i can just make something then bolt it up with that screw.

I just need to make a housing like the stock one and also make the mechanize similar to the stock one and bolt it up.
