Rebuilt engine start up procedure?
I've finally got my B20 rebuilt and in the car. Getting ready to start it up tonight! I've rebuilt other types of motors before but never a Honda B series. Anyways I have a idea of the order of things I should do when starting the engine for the first time but want a second or third opinion.
1. Pull spark plugs, distributor and injector plugs and prime the oil pump by cranking the motor over until the oil pressure builds up.
2. Replace all plugs and wire connections. Check oil level, add if needed.
3. Start the engine (should the CEL connector be jumped?)
4. Check, adjust timing
5. Bleed coolant
6. Wait till radiator fan comes on, check adjust idle rpm.
7. Stop engine, drain oil, change oil filter and add new oil.
Please let me know if I have these things in the right order or if I'm missing something!

there was a thread i found recently where it pretty much said to run the **** out of the motor to seat the rings properly, either on a dyno or on the street, do some 3rd and 4th gears pulls from low rpm's to put load on the motor. I dont think its neccasary to change the oil for atleast 500-1k miles.
found the thread here ya go

I got my motor rebuilt by a shop. They told me to prime the oil pump. Than when i start it up rev it up to 3gz keep it there for 15 mins to set the piston rings. Change oil every 500 miles tell you hit 2g miles. than i can start to use synthetic oil. How do you know if you primed it?

pull the spark plug wires, crank it for 10 secs or less, pull the valve cover and make sure there is oil up there on the cams and stuff
