What programe do you recomdn to design a tube frame chasis
Ive been thinking seriously about building a RWD EG civic with a b mounted in the rear, now i have built a few cages for people and have a decent level o skill when it come to fabrication
but i want to basically build a tube frame integrated into the existing structure along with all new suspension etc, so what does everybody recomend to design this on? as that is going to make or break it in my view
any experience in chasis design and programme pros and cons etc will be appreiated

I've heard great things about Bend Tech Pro...Especially with designing chassis' and bike frames. Never got to play with it first hand, but the screen shots looked cool. Even tells you how long each tube should be, and where to make your marks for the bends.
Bend tech is probably the only choice within a hobbyist budget that is tube specific. There are significantly better tube design software out there (tubecad, tezet cad, tube expert) but they start at $10-15k a seat.

I do quick 2D parts in AutoCAD, and the 3D modeling for packaging constraints and FEA in Pro/E. Both work great once you learn to use them. PRO/E has been great at helping me avoid packaging problems.
