Default I think I just blew my motor...

SO I was driving down the road, shifting through my gears then all of a sudden, my car wouldn't go into 4th gear. I've had this problem before, either just regular driving or under vtak...anyway, I try to get into 4th gear but no success. so finally, when I think I'm in it, I romp on it. I practically stomp on it but apparently, I wasn't in gear...by the time I looked at my tach, it said I was at 8600 rpm then my motor shut off. after I pulled over, I pop the hood and smoke was coming out of the exhaust manifold area...after a few mins, there was a 6"x6" puddle of oil on the ground. After letting it cool down a bit, I try to crank it again but all it does is make a loud thud noise but doesn't start...does not turn over...nothing. Just one loud thud noise and then that's it. From what I was told, it could be a thrown rod/bearing. For those of you who have good insight on this, I would greatly appreciate it and thank you in advanced. and for those of you who decide to flame me, I'd like to say F* You in advanced.

If it won't crank at all, then the engine is seized. Even with a thrown rod bearing, it will start and run, just loudly. You may have thrown a bearing and then the rod may have broken, punching a hole in the pan causing the oil to run out. Either way, from what you have described, your engine is toast. Start looking for that K20A.

Sounds like next time you shouldn't act like a 16 year old child and drive the ever loving **** out of your car. Maybe this will teach you a lesson not to drive like that. The ignorance of you doing something like that is pretty amusing too.

Please, like you don't ever rip on your boosted gsr 2.0? **** breaks; nothing mechanical lasts forever. I think there is more ignorance in you telling him that he's a 16 year old child just because he ripped on his car

Yes, he probably shouldn't have ripped on it, if he was having gear problems, but no one's perfect....

But where I'm from it is illegal to replace an engine with one from an older yr or more miles on it.
EDIT: If you have a 2004 with 61k Miles. You need an engine from a car from 2004 or newer with equal or less miles.

I'm in Florida and my car is a 2002 and the motor they're selling me is from a 2002 but with 81k miles

anyway, got back from the dealer and there is a hole about the size of a half dollar on the block just below the exhaust manifold.

Ok i checked out their site and so far, they're the cheapest I've found. I contacted them for a price on the K20A shipped here to G-ville Fl

I also contacted HMotors for a price on their K24 longblock shipped here. They're selling it for $800+shipping. Only thing is, it's the K24A4, not the A2 from the TSX. Oh well, we'll see their response
