No spark on my friends 1990 integra
Well me and a friend of mine are trying to figure out why there's no spark on his car. He drives a 1990 Integra that's OBD 0 and can't figure out anything. I've changed out the ignition control module, rotor, tried new wires, changed the fuel pump, and still nothing. When I put a screw driver in plug 1 and held it close to metal, there was no spark, so that's when I started to changed all the little things. Can anyone help me out on what else to possibly look for?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance
yea, the fuel pump is working, cause one of the rubber hoses broke I guess while dropping the tank, and gas was spitting out everywhere when I turned the key after putting the tank back up into place, but I hooked it back up and things are working again. Where's the main relay located at?
i would just swap out the whole distributor, it would save you a lot of time for sure. And if it isnt it, you would instantly know and it would be an excuse to buy a new one. I know mine and my g/f's DAs were getting spark, and thats what the problem was on both of them

so it sounded like you just wasted a **** ton of money on **** thats not even relevant dude. ohm the coil or swap with good known coil thats pretty common. then check the power to the dizzy. think of wiring not just parts, check what relay or ecu pin powers the dizzy. dont just change random ****
Start by making sure there is power going to the distributor, [black/yellow lead to distributor assembly should be hot when ign. switch is in run and start position] make sure you check for power on the black/yellow lead during cranking to start .
The PGM-FI Main Relay has nothing to do with spark, it supplies power to the fuel pump, [fuel pump relay] and the injectors, ECU and some engine valve/solenoids, [injector relay].
Although problems with the PGM-FI Main Relay are common on older Honda/Acura... http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/mainrelay.html it does not sound like it is your problem, although it can't hurt to make sure it is working properly.
Turn ign. switch to run, [not start] you should hear the fuel pump prime the fuel system, [run for a few sec.] with the ign. switch in run, test for power at the injectors, [lead that is the same color, red/black should test as 12V+] . 94
