Acura Keyless Entry... Aftermarket Install
Hey guys,
I've got a '95 LS sedan. It has no security or keyless entry. I am wondering if it is possible, or a good idea, to install the Acura keyless entry system into my car. I'd want to do this because it seems like almost all aftermarket keyless entry systems are really ugly and stupid looking. What would a deal like this cost me?

Call the dealer, you should be able to do it yourself but the parts probably aren't cheap. I know Crimestopper sells a keyless entry system for $40 (845) that can do starter kill and has an extra channel. By ugly do you mean the remotes are ugly on aftermarket keyles? The brain gets hidden, anyways here's what it looks like. BTW, it's not terribly easy to install aftermarket yourself (the Acura system more or less plugs right in.)

Yikes, I would just go to a shop and have an aftermarket unit installed. Or see if you can buy the Acura system online at a discount. It's pretty much plug-n-play so the dealer shouldn't charge much to install it. $500 will get you a good alarm with remote start installed.
