Default Question about a possible blown head gasket

I'm trying to dwindle down the possibilities in my search for the loss of coolant/antifreeze! I've replaced all the associated items for the coolant system besides the radiator and the head gasket. I get a perfect reading of 182-184lbs of pressure in each chamber on a dry compression test. One thing I've noticed is that in most cases when a head gasket goes, the fluid in the reservoir either violently explodes or disappears. Mine does neither. My car doesn't smoke besides in the freezing cold.... Power is still all there! I lose about a fills worth within a week and get 26MPG. Could there possibly be a leak in the radiator? It doesn't leak any fluid, either. Thanks for the help and any future suggestions!

is there oil in your water or water in your oil? your radiator may be leaking, but you might not notice it because your driving it. it might be a leake that needs the pressure to actually leak. just idling in your driveway might not do the trick. after the car is driven and heat rises the pressure might push the coolant out.

Thats what I find so frustrating about this whole ordeal... There is no fluid in the other.... other than oil, lol! THe overflow doesnt lose any coolant... just the radiator itself loses the coolant. I will note it does half a half-sloppy start and misses for up to 15 seconds or so.

if you know someone with a smog machine, they can put the sniffer close to(not inside) the radiator cap opening, if there are CO's, you have a blown gasket.

or a leakdown test will tell you. smog machine is also a good technique... also there are dyes you can put in the system.

or you could track down and slay the wizzard that is making your coolant dissapear.

mine was also losing coolant but i never saw a puddle or anything under my car till i was pulling axles and noticed a very small coming from lower radiator hose, it only leaked when it was hot, so this sounds retarted but check hose clamps.

your rad. cap could also not be holding pressure and allowing some of the coolant to leak out or evaporate. i had the same problem and it turned out to be my rad. cap.

I've replaced the radiator cap already

The only hose I haven't replaced is the lower radiator hose. I guess I'll try that and see what happens...
