So I have a B16A2 in my 93 del sol, i have the b16 ECU and everything. So my car only does 16.2 in a 1/4 mile, so i did a compression test and a leakage test in each cylinder. My compression was at about 150 for all the cylinders, but with only 4-5% leakage. So i know its not my rings and its not my valves. When performing a wet test the compression did go up about 20-30 psi. However I am missing both the knock sensor and the O2 sensor. Would the knock sensor be screwing things up that badly? Do I need a new head gasket maybe? I know the O2 is making me run rich but wouldnt hurt my power that much. Any ideas on what the problem is or what i should do would be great thanks.

 

you really didn't say you have any 'problems' at all.....

delsols are fairly heavy, and the B16's are very peaky motors, running a 16 second quarter isn't that bad...

What was your 60 foot, your trap speed, and does anything 'feel' wrong, do you have a CEL light?

a quarter mile time isn't enough to go on to say your engine is bad...

 

i tested the compression and it was at 160psi, when all data says it should be 240, thats where i think there is a problem

 

that seems kinda low for a honda motor
