Default Clutch Fluid going dark REALLY fast

Has anyone had this problem???

I have a JDM B18c with upgraded stage 2 clutch (forgot which brand). But more importantly I have a jdm 4-1 2.5 in header.

My suspicion is that the heat from the header is effecting the clutch slave cylinder and frying the clutch fluid prematurely. Is that possible? Or is it more due to the strong clutch. BTW, I drive it normally. I don't dump the clutch at every light. LOL. I wish I could but...

I bleed the clutch fluid, the clutch feels great, consistant feel, predictable engagement. After about 1 month, the clutch is not predictable; sometimes it engages high sometimes low.

Anyone else experience this???

Is there an easy or nice solutions. I was thinking about a getto high temp silcone with aluminum foil to shield the slave cylinder. Would that work?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Same here.

I have a jdm b18c w/ and edelbrock 4-2-1 header.
Clutch slave cylinder sits really close to the #3 primary on the header.
Been through a couple of clutch master cylinders also (leaking fluid).

Some sort of heat protection definitely seems like a good idea.

my ls used to do it sometimes. have you put dot 4 in there? if not flush it out an use it. if the header is inches away from the slave then that is prolly whats wrong. being that it is aluminium (made to dispearse heat more quickly) i dont see how it would heat up like that. but dot 4 might help.(higher heat capabilitys) and if you wanna go crazy dot 5 but you have to CLEAN OUT EVERYTHING. cause 4 and 5 DO NOT MIX AT ALL.

Yeah. I'm on dot4, in fact it's Valvoline Synpower brake fluid with a pretty decent boiling point. It's the best stuff for less than $10. I guess I could goto ATE Blue at $12 and try that.

But does anyone know if heat is definite the cause of the problems? If so, is there a clean simple solution to this, like an aftermarket bolt-on shield. I don't like having to rig up a getto setup with tin foil, unless I have to.
