95, 96, 97 Honda owners ! FREE SERVICES !
I found this on another board somewhere..maybe some of you dont know about it...
I have a 97 Integra, but this deal applies to other models as well.... Apparently, Honda's on board diag system has a technical problem and they have an agreement with the federal clean air act to hook us up. Here is the deal summary:
1. 50k-75k miles you get a free emissions inspection and any repairs or replacements are done FOR FREE.
2. 75k - 150k miles you get another free emissions inspection, etc. BUT YOU ALSO GET NEW SPARK PLUGS, IGNITION WIRES, DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTER, AND OIL CHANGE FOR FREE !!!!!!
3. Emissions warranty has been extended to 14 years
4. IF YOU HAVE PAID FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE EMMISIONS PARTS/REPAIRS YOU CAN GET REIMBURSED!!!!
Attached is a copy of the letter..... Make your appointments now....

I just picked up a used 1997 Integra GSR with 77,777 miles on it.
The previous owner gave me a bunch or receipt/records along with the car and I found a receipt for 75K-150K service done by the Acura dealer. The total cost said $0.00
They replaced the rotor, plugs, oil change etc... Basically they did everything you mentioned for free.
For the longest time I couldn't understand why they did that for free and now I know.
Thanks for the info man.

Ya you just need to give them the vin.

I'm in the process of polishing my stock muffler (only did 60 grit) and I just found that the piping connected to the muffler has a crack around it. Will they replace my exhaust even though ive started to polish it? Someone please chime in, thanks in advance.

No it does not matter. You can print it off or just call the dealership and give them your vin and make an appointment for an emissions control inspection.

Probably not but it wouldnt hurt to call the dealership and ask and you would need to just call and give them your vin and make an appointment.

Wish I knew about this in '06 when my mileage was still low enough to make the cut-off. Oh well. And I have had to replace all the items mentioned in this thread so far. damn it!

Probably would want to put it back to stock and I dont think there is a time limit on the free service.

Running a test pipe completely defeats the purpose of what honda is trying to do.
I work at a honda dealership, and i also got a new cat out of the deal.
