Bubbling Dashboard Issue (2006 Honda S2000)
I'm posting up for my brother since he doesn't frequent the boards.
We've been noticing bubbling on his dashboard, I wanted to post this up and see if anyone else is having this problem. We took it to Weir Canyon Honda here in Southern California. They had a rep come out and inspect it but they told us it wasn't that big of a concern for them to replace it under warranty. I'm curious to see if anyone else on here has had their dashboards replaced because of this "bubbling". His dashboard looks like it's getting acne. I'll try to have pictures up of it asap.
If anyone has any information please chime in.

That could be a good possibility, it seems like the bumps start rising more in warmer temperatures so maybe something is cooking up underneath it. They'll settle down for a bit, but you could still see them after a while.

If only it was that easy.
Yeah, for sure we're going to let Honda deal with this while the car is still under warranty, it's a matter of finding a dealership now that will want to fix it. Weir Canyon Honda did not want to.
EDIT: But then again I don't blame them for the 40+ hours of labor that will follow for doing so.

a dealer in colorado tried to pull this with my civic a couple years back(certified pre owned ftw) the clear coat was peeling of the whole left rear quarter panel, they said we dont want to fix it, i said you have to, they said no, i called regional manager and within in 30 minutes of getting off they phone they called me back with an appointment to get the whole car sanded and cleared. then my car got stolen like 8 months later.

Because it's an Ap2. LOL. Had to mention it.
Take it back and have the dealer fix it. If not, buy an AP1 and not have to deal with it.

i am down for that but there is a little blemish on mine...you know that bar that goes in front of the passenger seat, i guess the previous owners wife put her feet on it so the carpet on that inside edge is a little worn. i make sure the seat is far enough up now so my gf doesnt do that same thing. if your interested i could get you a picture

UPDATE.
We didn't take it back to Weir Canyon Honda, we were able to get ahold of our uncle (which we should've done in the first place
) who's a Fleet Manager at Honda of Santa Ana. He referred us to one of the service managers there and we scheduled an appointment immediately after.
Mack (the service manager) took care of everything and placed the order on the necessary parts needed to swap out the dash. They were very professional there and took care of the situation how it should've been done in the first place. The car will be going back in on Friday or Saturday.
I'll keep you guys posted again after the new dash is installed.
