Default steelies on a 5th gen accord

I have a '97 forest green accord. What do you guys think about taking off the stock hub's and riding black steelies with the bolted on metal lip? Do you think it would look good on this color of accord?

It'll look like you're too cheap to afford hubcaps.

I don't get why people like steelies. It would just make your car look like junk. But hey! thats IMO.

If you like this style, go ahead and do it. It's your ride.

ahh you guys obviously don't live in the north with the snow and salt. don't wanna mess up my nice chrome painted hubcaps from the salt.

on a real note, i ride steelies in the winter only because they are aftermarket and my hubcaps don't fit on them. I have winter wheels mounted on them, i keep the other steelies or EX rims for summer with summer tires.

But to answer the OP, get black rims with a chrome lip if you want that look.

I run steelies with CRV center hub caps. Same color car. Of course I painted the wheels black first (they were faded black with rust acents before).

Reason- I hate the plastic wheel covers, I live and drive the car in the north and I can't afford decent aluminum rims yet. Plus the CRV center caps actually protect the hubs from getting all the salt and crap in there.

I don't care for the look but... on my 95 EX I had steelies with snow tires for winter driving. I didn't care since it was winter so I didn't bother to look for or buy hub caps.

it wasn't the rims I was wanting, I just wanted snow tires. So much nicer to drive on during the winter. The steelies were cheap so why not.

Yeah, it should look fine.

Maybe use chrome lugnuts? Or add a red stripe to outer lip on the wheel.

Just some ideas.
