hey guys,

having problem with my 95 gsr.
it started like couple month ago, the car jerked in 4k rpm(in 2nd and 3rd gear) and seemed it doesn't accelerate properly(felt less pwr too). now, it jerks when take off, and every gear jerks like when i was driving stick shift for the first time. there's no constant increase of acceleration. sometimes, the car takes off and i step on the gas pedal to accelerate, i get no response, and i try to rev couple time then it picks it up and go but still jerks in every gear.
i tried fuel part partially by changing fuel filter and injector cleaner, but don't seem it's helping. im about to check iacv.
is there anything else might cause this problem?
any inputs will be appreciated.

are all the injectors working fine ? car idels normal?

 

My car used to randomely jerk and then it just turned off. It was the distributor.

 

run some injector cleaner.

yea im trying the first bottle now. ran about 10mi but it's still same.

idle is lil low around 6-700 or 800 around there.

 

how are your plugs and wires....my db used to act like that when i shift or start from a complete stop it would jerk...change my plugs, wires, cap and rotor and it was fine

 

check the distributor.

Either it is loose and is moving back and forth, or the cap and rotor are going out. 99% sure that is your problem.

 

yea it was the rotor

old rotor was all messed up.

changed to new one and runs like before! jyea!
