I am using my h22a distributor on my h22a with h23a engine harness...works great.

What you need to do is find the h23a's external coil plug on the harness, and cross the yellow/black wire with the yellow wire...I'd recommend using a fused line(20A). You could also insert a fuse directly into the plug! The blue wire on that plug isn't going to be used, so pay no mind to it.
