Default anyone who's swapped an H22A themselves, please answer question.

Did you change your distributor? I used my H23 harness (since the other was JDM) and there is no spark to the distributor, and I think it's because it has an internal coil, and my harness is set for an external coil, so it's not firing up...think so? Thanks.

ps. it's going in a lude.

I used the H22A distributor that came with the motor for a 94 Teg. Both where OBD1, so plug and play.

Just check all the wiring on each side of the dist and make sure it all matches up. You should have to change a couple wires around to make it work right. Just compare the H23 wiring with the H22 wiring.

I had to use a distributor from an H22, but my engine (also JDM H22A) went into an accord.

I just used my JDM prelude obd1 distributor, plugged right up.

You will have to change the coil wiring to the external coil, or you may also convert your harness to the internal coil and use the JDM internal coil distributor.
